You might have a few questions
What are the benefits of purchasing a Science Photo Library Footage Pack compared to traditional licensing?
Increased flexibility at a discounted rate, pay only for what you use as opposed to paying the standard license fee for the whole clip.
Can footage from the pack be used across multiple productions, and how do we declare usage?
Yes. Footage can be used across multiple productions. Once you have chosen the footage you want to use, simply declare the usage, providing the clip reference along with the amount of footage used from the clip. These seconds will then be deducted from your Pack.
Are there any restrictions on the type of content that can be included in the pack?
No. All Footage currently available on www.sciencephoto.com is included, including both Rights Managed and Royalty Free clips.
What happens if we need more footage than the seconds allocated in our pack?
If all pre-purchased seconds are used when completing a project, any remaining overage will be licensed separately at the same price per second as the purchased Footage Pack. Alternatively, a new Footage Pack can be purchased to cover the overage and can be used on future projects.
Can we roll over unused seconds or extend the time period?
No. All pre-paid for seconds are to be used within the allocated time period for the Footage Pack.
How does the pricing compare to standard per-second licensing outside of the Footage Pack?
Depending on the size of the pack purchased, savings of up to 54.5% are possible. Based upon a large pack @ £25.00 per second when compared with the standard rate of £55.00 per second (based on a 20 second minimum).
Can seconds from the pack be used to relicense existing projects, or is it strictly for new projects only?
No. A Footage Pack cannot be used to relicense footage used in a previous project. A Footage Pack is for new projects only.
